Marlene King -”Rosewood Will Never Be The Same”

We Pretty Little Liars fans may still have our feet firmly planted in Season 3 (Is Jason dead?! Did Spence really join the “A” team?!), but the cast and crew have moved on. Season 4 filming started today, and showrunner Marlene King has this to say about the new season: “Rosewood will never be the same.” Marlene tweeted a pic of the day’s call sheet (closed set, crew to arrive at 7 a.m.) along with this teasing description of the day — and season! — to come: “Day 1. Episode 401. After today, Rosewood will never be the same. Anybody ready to say ‘action?’” Eek! Will Season 4 pick up directly where Season 3 leaves off? After all, Season 2 did, with the girls dealing with the immediate aftermath of having told the police about Ian’s death. However, Season 3 picked up months after the Season 2 finale, when the girls reunited after a summer spent apart. If Season 4 does immediately pick up where the third season left off, will Spencer (Troian Bellisario) finally get some answers from the mysterious woman in the Red Coat? And will the fire hinted at in the Season 3 finale still be burning? A possible twin reveal would definitely change Rosewood for good — at least for the Liars — as would a death, which at this point, has become a PLL finale tradition. And where does Toby’s mom fit into all of this? We’re ready to call “action,” if no one else will… even if there’s no going back! Why do you think Rosewood will “never be the same”? Let us know in the comments below. |

Get ready to meet “Red Coat”! As you can see in this exclusive photo from Pretty Little Liars‘ March 19 season 3 finale, the ever crazier and crazier Spencer (Troian Bellisario) meets the until-now elusive “Red Coat” face-to-face for the first time. The details around her meeting with “Red Coat” are sketchy, but the show’s actors and producers have already heavily teased to EW that crimson-hooded spook largely factors into the season’s denouement. On the subject of “Red Coat,” Bellisario says: “There is something about her that is so familiar that it’s almost more frightening than ‘A,’ which is a completely new terror.” Maybe that explains Spencer’s stunned look in the above photo? “There’s something about ‘Red Coat’ that they all recognize about their past. There’s some kind of haunting to it — not to say that there’s a supernatural element — but the girls are all kind of getting that feeling from it, that it’s more frightening than ‘A.’ This must be one person, and we must know them.” Is “Red Coat” the “A” team captain? Is she CeCe (Vanessa Ray)? She’s “who you think it might be, yes,” says executive producer Oliver Goldstick, but “it’s not definitive. The finale is a shocker.” Lucy Hale — who plays Little Liar Aria — adds that the hooded villain “could be the keeper of a lot of answers and a lot of things that they’ve been searching for.” |

We’ve beenwondering about the identity of the girl in the red coat on Pretty Little Liars for a while now. She seems to be the leader of the “A” team, the one calling all of shots in the daily torment of Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Aria (Lucy Hale), Hanna (Ashley Benson), and Emily (Shay Mitchell). Well, it looks like all of our patience is about to pay off! The cast and creators of PLL told Entertainment Weekly that the mysterious red-coated figure will be revealed in the Season 3 finale, as well as dropped a few clues as to her identity. Spence has lost more than most in Season 3B (Toby, her sanity, etc.), so it seems fitting that she will be the one to confront the red-coated figure in the Season 3 finale. In Season 3, Episode 24: “A Dangerous gAme,” Spence will meet the Liars’ chief tormentor face-to-face. Here’s what Troian had to say about the big reveal: “There’s something about the ‘Red Coat’ that they all recognize as part of their past.” Could this mean that the red-coated figure really is Ali’s twin? Troian’s phrasing about recognizing rather than knowing implies the red-coated figure looks like someone the Liars knew. Or are we grasping at identical twin straws here? PLL producer Oliver Goldstick said that Red Coat is “who you might think, yes,” but added: “It’s not definitive. The finale is a shocker.” This makes us worry that it will be Sasha Pieterse (Alison) in the red coat, but we won’t find out until Season 4 if she is playing Ali or her twin. We’re not sure if our hearts can take that kind of hiatus suspense! Lucy did put a positive spin on that prospect with her hint that Red Coat “could be the keeper of a lot of answers and a lot of things they’ve been searching for.” Even if we have to wait until Season 4 to find out the details of the Red Coat, we’re still excited for the big reveal! |

O.M.G. Some Pretty Little Liars spoilersare designed to send fans into a desperate whirlwind of anxiety, and a recent one about Season 3, Episode 21: “Out of Sight, Out of Mind” does just that. Read spoilers at your own risk! For more on Wetpaint Entertainment’s philosophy on spoilers, click here. “Someone’s pretty little days are numbered,” the offical Pretty Little Liarstwitter announced. “There will be another death in Rosewood next week … AHH!” Whoa. Whoa. Now that’s unexpected. Who do you think it will be? We haven’t had a lot of time to think through the options, so we’re just spitballing here, but a couple choices jump to mind. The first is obviously Detective Wilden (Bryce Johnson). He got hit by a car in Episode 20, so it wouldn’t be hard to imagine him succumbing to his injuries this week. The second option, which we really hope isn’t true, is Jason (Drew Van Acker), who was also recently injured, and has since disappeared. He says he’s been laying low in Virginia, but maybe he comes back to Rosewood only to lose a deadly battle against “A”? Other options? It could be someone’s parent. Or maybe CeCe (Vanessa Ray), who seemed awfully scared this week. Perhaps it’s Shana (Aeriel Miranda), who might know too much. A more extreme prediction would be Melissa Hastings (Torrey DeVitto), who has also been acting awfully suspicious lately. Who do you think this spoiler is about? Share your theories below!
